The red carved gate of Geisha House: a curtain with the house name between two bronze cobras

01

The house

Geisha House is our home in Bali: dark wood, a garden behind glass walls, tea, music and long conversations.

A geisha was, historically, a person of the arts. For us the art is how you live: the house, the company, the conversations, a taste for life.

It is not a hotel or a retreat. No programme, no practices, no gurus: we invite you to simply live with us for a few days and enjoy them.

The living room at night in red light, curtains drawn back to the garden
A Buddha before a glowing onyx wall, with candles
Bath salt poured into the copper tub
A black sofa under a calligraphy scroll between red lamps
Bronze figures under a blue velvet canvas
A candle, a black teapot and anthuriums at dusk
A carved stone cat in red light
